VOLUNTEERS |
|
|
We could not continue all our good work without the help of our volunteer team, all of whom lead busy lives away from the Sanctuary. We are so grateful to all who offer their help, and if you live locally, and have some knowledge of horses and ponies and their care, we would be happy to hear from you if you can lend anything from occasional help to a more regular commitment.

Janey Lloyd
Janey has been a part of the H.A.C.K. team for over 10 years and is now in her 20s. She still shows her dedication to the care and welfare of the horses by spending a great deal of her spare time here. Janey works in a large well known country hotel training in management, and works unsocial hours. This enables her to spend time in the weekdays helping out at H.A.C.K. She has gained a great deal of knowledge at H.A.C.K. and is able to do a lot of the groundwork with the horses when being retrained. Janey is also excellent at fund-raising events and has very good people skills. Janey lives in Llay near Wrexham. |

Pamela Bluck
Trustee and founder of H.A.C.K. Pam spends more or less every day at the sanctuary. She says "it's great having such good dedicated volunteers, they have made such a difference to the lives of many horses and they all help with the fund-raising that keeps the sanctuary open. Each volunteer has something different to offer, no matter how little or how much it all combines together to help the welfare of the horse, which after all is what the sanctuary is all about". Pam also spends many hours in the office and organising fund-raising activities. "It is tremendously hard work, but look at what we have achieved". |

Paula Burrows Paula is the adoption secretary at HACK and her daughter Tanya is also a regular volunteer. Paula has been helping HACK since March 1999. Paula has always been horse mad and when Tanya and Paula first met Buster at HACK they decided to adopt him, he will always have a special place in their hearts. Paula took over as adoption secretary in June 2000. She works as an office manager and due to work commitments cannot get to the sanctuary as often as she would like so this is why she is glad to be able to help in other ways, with the adoption scheme.
