Tinkerbelle

Tinkerbelle is a a small 20" high miniature Shetland pony who is just 5 months old.  She has a problem with her front leg. When she was born it was found that her knee had fused and she could neither bend nor straighten it and now it seems to have started to bow a little.

She came to HACK recently as her owners did not want her and had left her in their garden after being weaned.  Belle, as she is now known, cannot at present be put into a herd situation as she cannot protect herself, and it would be unwise to keep her in all the time, therefore we are making her a small but safe paddock with her own shelter which we hope will be finished soon.

It is our intention, if we can raise enough funds, to send her to Leahurst for specialist treatment, which would involve X-rays and an MRI scan.  Obviously this is going to be expensive as to do this we would have to raise at least £1000 and that may just be the beginning.

With the worry of providing enough funds to continue to keep the sanctuary running and the expense of all the others horses, ponies, donkey, pigs, goats and cats, it seems a hard task for us to get Belle where she needs to go.  Can you help us?
