Tiggy was abandoned at the H.A.C.K. sanctuary suffering from severe lameness. Volunteers at the centre were appalled at the state of the young horse. Part of the hoof around her heel had come away leaving a deep wound which took a long time to heal. Her abandonment at the sanctuary meant a serious strain on finances, her treatment cost over £1000 which was earmarked for other purposes. She is now, after emergency treatment, making good progress, her injuries are healing well and we are hoping for a full recovery. The dedicated care that H.A.C.K. have given Tiggy through this worrying time has now succeeded in returning this lovely young horse to a positive and secure future. |
