Two miniature Shetland ponies that were rescued from rogues and dealers at just 5 months old. Having been wormed and well fed these two little ponies soon became friendly and are now little stars in their own right. They have replaced Scamp and Buster, both of whom are now retired, in the fund-raising stakes and are a great attraction. They love going out and about and meeting everyone. |
| The problem with rescuing little colts is the expense of the castration,
it actually cost over £400 for these two, it is therefore no wonder
that these little guys are sent through the auctions, many only make
£10 most people think they are not worth the cost of castrating so many
end up with the meat man.
UPDATE.... Albert has gone to live with one of our neighbours, to keep Jack the donkey company. He is adored by all the family as well as Jack and lucky for us he is only 50 yards up the road so we still see a lot of him. He's so cute! |
