The Grand Opening of our Riding Arena

Exercise for any horse is of paramount importance, particularly when nursing them back to health.  Even if it is only a gentle walk on a good surface, all horses benefit from exercise of some sort.  Some of our ponies and horses can be ridden and brought back to a reasonable level of fitness, others can never be ridden again, but despite that, they all benefit from fresh air and exercise.

We are now lucky to have raised enough money for an all weather surface to exercise them on.  This means it will not become muddy in winter which is often a difficult time for keeping land in good order.

We are so privileged to have this area and we thank all of you for your support and fundraising to have made this possible.

Merlin, who is now in his late 20s opened the arena.  We allowed him to eat the carrot that tied the ribbon together.  We thought it was a nice gesture as he has given everyone so much pleasure over the years.
